How Mediation Can Help the Homeless Population

This interactive roundtable will examine how mediation can create positive social impact, with emphasis on homelessness in Los Angeles County. It will showcase successful mediation programs, discuss the importance for a community-based collaborative approach, and will include an educational segment on essential specialized mediation skills.
Key areas for discussion include:
- Successful mediation models, for example Unlawful Detainer Court and homeless prevention
- Necessity for community-based approach and partners
- Compassion, empathy and trauma sensitivity
- Mental health, self-care and recognizing stress
